Proposal of one of the students at SERC, Zahra Naeem, titled "Change Tracking of Data and Structure" got selected this year for GSoC (Google Summer of Code) 2009. She would be working on phpMyAdmin, a web client for MySQL, and would be doing feature development this summer.

This time in total 5900 proposal were submitted out of which some 1000 of them are chosen by organizations to be working on open source projects.
